Understanding the Administrative Regulations of Statutory Law

When evaluating statutory law, a paralegal must first acknowledge the administrative regulations that run in tandem with the local framework. Said regulations are governed by administrative agencies and ultimately establish local laws.

The administrative or executive agencies responsible for establishing statutory laws  derive their authority from the respective state's Congress. Pending or proposed regulations are always labeled in the "Federal Register." This resource may be accessed–for free– and contested by the public for the purpose of future modification. Examples of said administrative agencies include: the FDA, FCC, FBI, DEA, and the CIA. These will be distinguished in what's to follow.

The "Food and Drug Association" is the agency for which regulations are placed upon all dealings that concern that of consumption. It enforces safety associated with the production as well as the distribution of items concerning that of which enters a person's system in one way or another. They are the leading authority in the assurance of adequate public health for all citizens. The "Federal Communications Commission," which is authorized by specific Congressional statutes, has six points of purpose. These include aspects of "broadband, competition, the spectrum, media, public safety/homeland security, and the modernizing of the FCC."

Essentially, this agency regulates all aspects related to communication between individual states as well as between all countries. This has also extended to other areas as specified earlier as societies have evolved. The "Federal Bureau of Investigation" represents the advent of such administrative agencies as it was first created to examine federal law violations that may have had no other authority oversee them. The FBI has even gone as far as to perform investigations on presidents and members of legislative bodies, the individuals who had actually garnered a part in its creation.

The "Drug Enforcement Administration" focuses mainly on the war against drugs, such as the sale, distribution, or use of such illegal paraphernalia. It operates according to such statutes set forth by the government concerning the transaction of contraband. The "Central Intelligence Agency" maintains the first and foremost means by which the government is able to acquire information pertaining to serious matters such as homeland security and the like.

In all, the congruency with which administrative agencies must work will be under the scrutiny of the court system. Therefore, statutory law has presented such agencies with language that welcomes "flexibility." This will ensure that administrative agencies will be able to exercise the type of authority necessary for the practice of statutory law.
