โš–๏ธ California's Freelance Worker Protection Act

Starting January 1, 2025, California's Freelance Worker Protection Act took effect. This law mandates that companies provide written agreements to independent contractors. These agreements must clearly state the terms of work and payment deadlines.

This change ensures better protection for freelance workers in California, which can impact the paralegal workforce as many paralegals may work as independent contractors.
